Most people associate the color pink with tenderness, sentimentality, romance and youth. But this does not mean that it can only be used to decorate women’s bedrooms. Thanks to the wide range of shades, as well as their excellent combination with other colors, pink will be appropriate in almost any interior. A pink bathroom, for example, looks very stylish.
Wash basin
If the bathroom walls are finished in white or light gray, a pink sink can become a spectacular accent: for high-tech and pop art, you can experiment with rich, acidic shades, and a dusty pink sink will fit well into a retro interior.

Shabby chic
This style is often used by designers in the design of bathrooms. Shabby chic is a design with a lot of decorations in pink tones, usually balanced with white. The walls are painted pastel pink (warm or cool) color.
If tiles or panels are used to decorate the lower part of the walls, it is advisable to leave them pure white and paint the top of the wall pink. Mosaic or tiles look no less original. Doors and floors should also be decorated in white colors.
Curtains are selected from thick textiles. For example, white and pink curtains with a striped or floral pattern would be an excellent solution. You can hang them on a metal or wooden baguette. Loosely tied pink ribbons are also suitable as decoration - for easy sliding of the curtains. The ribbons are decorated in the form of bows, cutting off their ends at an angle.
In addition, a pink shabby chic bathroom includes a pink wooden table. You can treat it with a special craquelure agent (causes the paint to crack) and paint it white - the pink base will be visible under the cracks, which makes the table very similar to an antique one.
Handles for furniture should be glass or porcelain and always white (but a blue variation is also appropriate).
The wall-hung sink is decorated with an “apron” of the same color scheme as the curtains. Other materials are also suitable, for example, tiles with an original print in gray and pink tones.
Particular attention should be paid to the mirror. It should be chic: a gilded, metal or carved wooden frame in white with an exquisite and complex design (mosaics, prints, etc.). If you want something more vibrant, you can decorate your bathroom with a mirror in a frame that imitates climbing plants.
As for the ceiling, you simply cannot do without a crystal chandelier with soft pink lighting. A suspended ceiling with spotlights located along the entire perimeter would also be a good option.
If there is a window in the bathroom, you can decorate it with ruffled curtains or wooden blinds. The original solution is blue or transparent gray-pink fabric.
Pink glass and porcelain accessories, as well as rolled towels, will complement the decor.
Of course, shabby chic is more suitable for women, but with the “participation” of pink colors, you can create other, no less stylish interiors.
A bathroom in an antique style with soft pink tones looks great. The classic design is the use of two colors: a gray-white top and a dark floor. Pinkish fuzzy tones are the ideal solution for country style - pink furniture, ceiling and wall decoration.
The color of tea rose will be appropriate in minimalism, the uncluttered space of which fully demonstrates all the splendor of the shade. And connoisseurs of high-tech style (both men and women) will definitely like the “light blush” in the interior - gray and dirty pink.
Toilet
In the bathroom combined with a toilet, you can place a pink toilet. There are often designer interiors where the washbasin and toilet are matched in the same shade of pink. This ceramic pair looks especially interesting in retro-style interiors.

If deep pink is chosen for an accent wall, it is best to place white fixtures that support the chosen color scheme. For example, a white wall-hung toilet with a light pink lid, as in the photo below, is appropriate.

Color combination or decorating a pink bathroom correctly
The pink color must be diluted with some shade, otherwise the bathroom design will become “cloying” - white or beige:
- walls painted red and pink;
- furniture, accessories, doors and floors in light colors. Of course, you can do the opposite. The combination of white and pink with pure white also looks very beautiful - a delicate and cozy bathroom interior.
Another interesting option is pink, complemented by silver or gray. The latter, by the way, is a universal color, and when paired with red-pink it makes the atmosphere in the bathroom especially elegant and noble. To enhance this effect, you can decorate the interior with shiny silk, velvet (rugs, curtains), metal fittings (sink, basin, etc.) and mirror.
Walls or ceilings decorated in gray are the ideal backdrop that gives the decor a unique personality.
Note: a combination of white, pink and purple, for example, in mosaic on the walls, will make the bathroom interior mysterious.
Very bright and rich red-pink harmonizes perfectly with black. Such a dramatic and, at the same time, brutal combination in a “bold” color is suitable even for men.
Other dark shades are quite appropriate here:
- brown accessories;
- black furniture or burgundy rug.
Pink and black are a contrasting and original combination. But the main thing is not to overdo it with them and be sure to dilute them with neutral tones: light blue, yellow and green palette.
Note: a combination of pale shades of pink and green will add freshness to the bathroom interior.
But combinations like pink with orange or blue are a bad design. It doesn't hurt to be careful with the color yellow. A cozy and sunny atmosphere in the room will be created by muted pink with the addition of yellow, not bright tones (curtains or blinds).
In addition, to create an “airy” interior, a combination of pink with white-blue and white is often used: pink tiles, white floor, etc.
Wall paint
Interior paint for finishing bathroom walls is one of the most successful options, since it is more resistant to high humidity. If you decorate an accent wall with bright pink paint, choose contrasting plumbing fixtures and the right accessories, you will get a pin-up style interior.

Bathroom textiles in pink tone
The bathroom is the first room into which we look after sleep and put ourselves in order. Therefore, it is imperative to have accessories that complement the style. The first thing that comes into view is the rug.
It can be chosen as a bright accent or to complement the existing range. The same applies to curtains, drapes and drapes, which play not only a protective role, but also an aesthetic one. This is especially true for curtains in the bathroom, which perform a certain protective function and make the interior more comfortable.
If there are windows in the bathroom, then it is quite natural to want to isolate yourself from the outside world with curtains. Whether to match them or use them as a contrasting accent depends on the chosen style. It is better to choose plain curtains with a dense structure, this way you will highlight the interior and create a certain privacy.
Upholstery on upholstered furniture
White, black and pink are a win-win color trinity for the bathroom interior. If the bathroom is spacious and decorated in black and white, bright shades of pink (for example, fuchsia upholstery on a chair near a dressing table) will enliven the interior, making it more expressive and elegant.

Lighting
Let's not forget, as many do, that lighting plays an important role in achieving harmony in the design of a room. And it doesn’t matter whether our room is large or small, we need to think carefully about where and what light sources will be used.
If we use ordinary lamps, we get pink with yellowness. Therefore, it is worth using, for example, fluorescent light sources. We will get a nice effect without distorting the applied colors. In addition to general lighting, there should also be concentrated lighting in certain areas. For example, at the mirror and washbasin, above the bathtub and near it. After all, lighting should contribute to better hygiene procedures, which is not always possible in twilight or with general lighting.
Accessories
A pink soap dish or dispenser, an aroma diffuser, a stand for toothbrushes, an organizer for jewelry or cosmetics, and wicker storage baskets will enliven the interior. In the photo below, such pink accents are placed in the interior of a children's bathroom: it turned out bright and sunny!
