Electric meters of the energy meter CE 301 series are three-phase multi-tariff electrical appliances. They are designed to account for the received electricity in three-phase alternating current circuits. These devices allow you to take into account current in both directions and are designed for metering electricity in residential, administrative and office premises. The series of electric meters is represented by two models – S31 (installed on the panel) and R33 (installed on the TN-35 DIN rail). The difference between the models lies in the method and location of installation. Meter accuracy class – 0.5S; 1.

The electrical appliance is manufactured at "Concern Energomera", which is a subsidiary of the Russian corporation OJSC Concern Energomera. This is a line of high-quality and affordable three-phase electrical appliances for metering consumed electricity. Integration into ASKUE occurs through communication modules, an infrared port or an optical interface.

The electric meter allows you to take into account the consumed electricity according to 4 tariff plans and provides the following information:

  • the amount of electricity consumed in general and for each tariff schedule separately for 12 months;
  • the volume of electricity consumed in total and separately for each tariff schedule for 1.5 months;
  • consumption schedule with intervals of 30 minutes for 60 days;
  • the maximum value of energy demanded during the year, both in general and separately for each tariff.

The device in question belongs to modern affordable three-phase electricity meters, the cost of which ranges around 4,000 rubles.

Information about consumed electricity is displayed on the electronic display. The energy consumed is monitored by an 8-digit electronic counting mechanism, the last two digits on the screen of which show hundredths of kW. The information on the display changes automatically and manually.

The CE 301 series electric meter has the following advantages:

  • presence of an electronic seal;
  • notification of exceeding spending limits;
  • increased degree of protection against unauthorized access for energy theft;
  • resistance to various influences (climatic, electromagnetic and mechanical);

In addition, the CE 301 meter displays errors and failures on the display.

To install the CE 301 energy meter , an electrician must be certified in electrical safety and have a tolerance of up to 1000 V. In addition, he must carefully read the operating instructions for the device.

Depending on the model, the product has the following dimensions:

  1. R33 – 72.5x143x151.5;
  2. S31 – 210.5x175x71.5.

The performance of the devices is maintained over a wide temperature range - from -40 to +60 degrees Celsius.

Let's look at the information displayed by the CE 301 energy meter and how to take readings. For ease of use, all data is divided into sections. To correctly read the information, you need to switch to the TOTAL mode, which will show the total current consumption for all tariff scales. Further navigation occurs by briefly pressing the operating button.

The icons on the display indicate electricity consumption: T01 - according to the day tariff, T02 - according to the night zone, T03 - according to zone 3 and T04 - according to zone 4.

To correctly take readings of energy consumption over the past month, you need to look at the TOTAL and T01 - T04 codes without additional characters. To calculate the payment amount, whole numbers are rewritten. Values after the dot show hundredths of kW.

With a single-tariff system, write down the value TOTAL. Next, subtract the previous paid figure from the reading and multiply it by the price of 1 kilowatt established in your region.

With a two-tariff system, record data T01 and T02. Then subtract the previous paid readings and multiply the price of 1 kilowatt on the daytime grid, and T02 by the price of 1 kW on the night grid.

If you use a payment grid for 3 or 4 plans, then record the data on consumed electricity for each zone and multiply it by the cost of 1 kilowatt in the corresponding tariff plan.

Detailed information about the electrical device and its operation is described in the extensive user manual.

The electronic metering device Energomera CE 301 is used to control electricity consumption in three-phase electrical circuits. The modern device is produced by the Russian concern Energomera and is accessible and convenient for both individual users and organizations.

Energy counter CE 301

Measured quantities:

  • electricity consumption;
  • active power separately by phase and total;
  • frequency;
  • voltage;
  • phase current;
  • angles formed by the vector directions of phase voltages.

The Energomera se301 electric meter has an external plastic casing and is available in two modifications: S31 – for mounting on a panel, R33 – on a DIN rail. On the front of the case there are:

  • liquid crystal display;
  • indication LED that lights up when active energy is being metered;

  • lithium battery;
  • “DSTP” button for programming the device (access to it is blocked by a seal from the power supply company);
  • working buttons “FRAME”, “PRSM”.

Inside the Energomera meter model CE 301 there are:

  1. Measuring module. Voltage and current are controlled by current sensors (transformers) and voltage dividers on resistors. Conversions of their values are carried out using a measuring microcircuit;
  2. Power module. For modification R 31, a capacitor module is used, for S31 - a pulse converter;
  3. Built-in current transformers (three pieces), the secondary windings of which are connected through a resistance. For direct-connection electricity meters, a “Rogowski Coil” is used.

The device’s memory, independent of the presence of power on the device, is capable of storing calibration coefficients, a password for accessing settings, tariff parameters, maximum power for all tariffs during the last month and year, the total values of consumed electricity and divided by tariff for 45 days, etc. information.

For installation of the device, the user manual provides detailed diagrams.

Important! As a rule, the electric meter must be installed by personnel of electrical supply organizations who have an electrical safety clearance group.

Most often, the device is installed through a three-pole circuit breaker. In this case, three phase wires are wound through the machine, and a wire with zero potential is connected directly to the electric meter.

After installation, specialists program and configure the meter.

Possible software settings:

  • current date and time;
  • automatic change of seasonal time;
  • creation of 12 points per day for switching tariffs;
  • daily tariff schedules;
  • setting seasonal tariff schedules (up to 12 varieties);
  • creation of up to 32 exceptional dates for which one of the schedules is taken;
  • consumption limits and maximum load restrictions.

Using the meter allows you to take advantage of its advantages:

  • protection against access to illegal connections in order to steal electricity;
  • stability of operation under unfavorable external factors (weather, presence of electromagnetic fields, mechanical influences);
  • several ways to connect to the device;
  • wide software capabilities.

The Energomera CE 301 meter can be used as a stand-alone device or integrated into an automated accounting system (ASKUE). The connection to ASKUE occurs via an optical interface, communication modules or an infrared port.

Inexperienced users accustomed to simple induction electricity meters often have the question of how to take readings from an electronic device.

You can record the values of the Energomer electric meter manually by pressing buttons, and in the mode of automatically receiving data in the ASKUE system.

If we take readings of electric meters manually, they are displayed on the liquid crystal display. The number of characters is eight.

Accounting is carried out according to programmed tariffs, of which there can be four. They are displayed as T1, T2, T3, T4.

Important! If any designation is missing, it means that the tariff schedule has not been set, or the clock mechanism is not working correctly.

When removing information manually, the “FRAME” button is activated. This can be done in two ways:

  1. Long hold – up to 2 seconds. In this case, groups of measured quantities are switched sequentially: energy values, network parameters, service indicators and interface parameters;
  2. Quick press – no more than 1 second. Serves to switch various indicators within each group. The readings can also switch automatically, which is observed when a minute passes after the last activation of the button.

This is interesting: Seal on a gas meter: what it looks like, how much it costs in 2021

Group of energy consumption values:

  1. By long pressing the "FRAME" button, the user can see the word "TOTAL" flash on the display and the first reading appears. This value corresponds to the total energy consumed in kWh;

“TOTAL” reading on the Energomer CE 301 meter

  1. Now, after quickly pressing the same button, the amount of energy consumed will be displayed one by one, separately by tariff. Instead of “TOTAL”, the symbol from T1 to T4 will light up, appearing sequentially after each quick press, and the corresponding energy value in kWh;
  2. The previous readings recorded for “TOTAL” and all other tariffs are subtracted from the received readings. The calculation is carried out separately for each value. Then they are multiplied by the tariff value in rubles, this is the expense for the current period.

Important! If a single tariff is applied, only the “TOTAL” indicator is deducted.

Since the Energomer CE 301 device also serves as a meter for electrical network parameters, the second group of readings will provide information about various current values of currents, voltages and powers. To do this, you need to press the “FRAME” button twice for a long time and then switch between parameters with quick presses.

Sequence of readings:

  • The numbers 1, 2, 3 and the pH symbol appear, it means the presence of all phases;
  • frequency in the electrical network – F (Hz);
  • U1, U2, U3 – phase voltage (V);
  • I1, I2, I3 – load current of each phase;
  • total active power PF (kW), for a device that takes into account power in one direction (for consumption), this symbol is designated P;
  • active power of the RV (kW), flowing in the opposite direction (for vacation);
  • phase-by-phase active power: P1, P2, P3 (kW);
  • uAB, uBC, uCA are the angles formed by the vector directions of stresses.

The information contained in the third and fourth groups is not intended for meter users, but rather for specialists working with the installation, troubleshooting and programming Energomera CE 301 electricity meters.

While the device is operating, error messages may appear on the LCD screen indicating various failures:

  1. Err 01 – supply voltage has decreased. It is necessary to check whether the device is connected correctly and measure the mains voltage. If the voltage is normal and the connection is correct, you need to call specialists to send the device for repair;
  2. Err 20 – error in the measuring module. Remove and reapply supply voltage. In cases where the error cannot be eliminated, the electric meter must be repaired;
  3. Err 21 – the time and date on the built-in clock may be incorrectly set. Remove and reapply the supply voltage and try to set the current date and time. If the error occurs again, send the device for repair.

The user can adjust the current time using the "PRSM" button. The general control range is 30 seconds in one direction or the other once every 24 hours. When you press the button once, an “o” symbol appears next to the t icon. The subsequent pressing of “PRSM” resets the seconds if they did not exceed 29. If the reading is greater, then the number is set to 59.

Important! If the liquid crystal display fails, the information is stored in the device’s memory for 10 years. It can be read by connecting through the interface.

Connecting a computer to the electricity meter interface

Detailed information for specialists about installation, configuration, connection methods and programming of the Energomer CE 301 meter is contained in the user manual.

Along with the well-known electricity meter "Mercury 201", the electric meter model "Energomera SE 101" is no less popular on the Russian market. This device belongs to the class of single-phase devices designed to measure the amount of consumed electrical energy according to a single-tariff scheme. The meter is mainly installed in private houses, apartments, office premises and country houses. CE 101 is an induction device where the current sensor is a shunt or a special transformer.

This model is not intended for installation outdoors without additional protection from snow, rain and other negative environmental factors. The device body, consisting of two halves, is made of high-quality plastic. They are fastened together with reliable screws. The electricity meter display is covered with transparent organic glass. The energy consumption meter "Energomera CE 101" is included in the state register of measuring instruments of the Russian Federation, so its use is completely legal.

The electrical circuit of the Energomera CE 101 meter is single-phase. The device is available in two versions: electronic and electromechanical. This significantly expands the areas of use of the device. The electronic version is equipped with a liquid crystal display, while the electromechanical version uses a drum-type display. The first option is not intended for outdoor installation, since the LCD screen is critical to low temperatures. The electromechanical display allows you to install this metering device outside the premises, provided that it is installed in a special protective box.

In addition to two versions of the electrical circuit of the CE 101 meter, with a drum and liquid crystal display, there are several modifications of this device in terms of external features and housing configuration.

  1. The drum display of the electric meter can have six (M6) or seven digits (M7). The most modern modification of the device is equipped with a seven-digit display. The digit on the right is highlighted with a red marker. These are fractions of kilowatts consumed and are not taken into account when taking readings. The numbers to the left of the red mark are taken into account when calculating the cost of consumed electricity. In liquid crystal indicators, the role of a red marker is played by a dot.

  2. The meter housing design has six modifications: R5, R5.1, S4, S6, S8 and S10. Models with the index R5 and R5.1 are designed for installation on DIN rails and have all the necessary design features for this. Modifications S6-S10 are mounted directly into the distribution panel or on the wall. Regardless of the design features of the case, any model of “Energomer CE 101” can be equipped with either a drum-type display, six or seven digits, or a liquid crystal indicator.

Each of the models of this meter is designed for use in specific conditions. Devices mounted on DIN rails are mainly equipped in apartment buildings and private houses with built-in electrical panels. Modifications with direct mounting on a wall or in a panel are perfect for cottages and other objects where it is not possible to mount the device on DIN rails.

This is interesting: Introductory machine before or after the counter 2021

Like any electricity meter, the Energomera SE 101 metering device is included in the state register of measuring instruments of the Russian Federation. It is approved for use in Russia. The device manufacturer installs the following two types of protection on the device.

  1. A metal seal on the outer cover of the device, blocking access to the device contacts. The sealing indicates that the device has been verified and can be installed in a power consumption monitoring system.

  2. Special holographic sticker with a high degree of protection. The hologram is installed by an employee of the quality control department of the manufacturer and indicates that the device has been tested for functionality and is suitable for use.

These security features are necessary to detect tampering with the device after shipment to the retailer. Currently, on the “black” market you can find CE 101 meters with a built-in electronic circuit to turn off the display. Naturally, the seals and holograms in this case are fake. The use of such devices can result in the imposition of huge fines on the consumer for theft of electricity.

The operating principle of CE 101 electricity meters is as follows: the input current and voltage are multiplied and converted into a frequency-modulated signal, proportional to the power of electricity consumption. When these pulses are summed electromechanically or using a microcontroller, the device produces a value of active energy consumed, with the data displayed on a drum or liquid crystal display. Depending on the modification, the device may have one or two current sensors.

Any model of “Energomer CE 101” is equipped with a special input test unit, designed to include the device in the system of automated control of electrical energy consumption, as well as to perform verification. Devices with liquid crystal indicators have non-volatile memory modules that allow you to save energy consumption values when the network is turned off or the LCD display fails.

In this part of the article we will look at the modifications and technical characteristics of the Energomera CE 101 meters. As we said above, the device has six design options, but there are only three main ones, which should be discussed in more detail.

  1. Modification of electric meter CE 101-R5. Single-phase electrical energy meter operating on a single-tariff principle. The device is mounted on a standard DIN rail.

    The device is used to continuously measure and display on the display the active component of the power of consumed electricity. The meter is connected to two-wire AC voltage supply lines.

    The device uses a current sensor in the form of a special shunt as a measuring element. The following figure shows a modification of the CE 101-R5 electric meter with a liquid crystal display.

  2. Modification of electric meter CE 101-R5.1. In terms of technical characteristics, it is practically no different from the model with code R5.

    Only the body of the device is completely different. This is also a single-phase electric meter that performs measurements at one tariff. The device can be mounted either on a DIN rail or directly into an electrical panel.

    The device is used to measure and display the active power of consumed electricity on the display. The electric meter is connected to two-wire alternating voltage networks. The measuring element in the device is a shunt, which is used as a current sensor. The following picture shows a photo of a modification of the CE 101-R5.1 meter with a liquid crystal display.

  3. Modification of the electric meter CE 101-S6. has almost identical technical characteristics to previous models.

    This is also a single-phase and single-tariff metering device, designed for installation in two-wire electricity supply lines. Only the plastic body of the device has a completely different shape.

    The device can be installed in an electrical panel or directly on the wall. A shunt is used as an element that performs the functions of a current sensor. The following figure shows a modification of the CE 101-S6 electric meter with a liquid crystal display.

Any modification of the CE 101 meter has a number of significant advantages over competing products. The undoubted advantages of the device include the following technical and operational characteristics:

  • minimal consumption of electrical energy for its own operation;
  • the presence of a special optical telemetry input unit in the device;
  • LED indication of the presence of voltage in the network and the functionality of the meter;
  • high protection from the influence of aggressive environments and electromagnetic interference;
  • high measurement accuracy, protection against electricity theft and affordable price.

The Energomera CE 101 meters have many advantages, but, like any equipment, there are certain disadvantages. Experts consider one of these shortcomings to be the unstable operation of devices with liquid crystal displays at sub-zero temperatures.

Owners of various residential and commercial properties who have installed Energomera CE 101 electricity meters generally rate this electricity meter highly. They note the following positive characteristics of the device: reasonable price, long warranty period and modern appearance. Here are a couple of typical reviews posted online.

  1. “... and it was necessary to change the electric meter. The store advised me to purchase the Energomer CE 101 device. The advice turned out to be good: the meter is inexpensive, easy to install and works well. We are pleased with the purchase and...”
  2. “... The CE 101 counter is good for everyone! Inexpensive, works great, long warranty and so on. True, it has one insignificant drawback - it has a single tariff and it is impossible to change for the night, but otherwise ... "

Yes, of course, this meter is single-tariff and single-phase, which significantly reduces the scope of its use. But this is more an advantage than a disadvantage! The CE 101 meter is designed for specific purposes, and other models are available for three-phase networks and multi-tariff options.

In general, it should be said that the energy meter “Energomera CE 101” is a high-quality electricity meter, designed for many years of trouble-free operation. The device, in addition to the counting display, has an LED indication of the presence of mains voltage. Devices with a liquid crystal display are more expensive than simple electromechanical ones, but their quality is no lower. The choice is yours!
