When installing equipment, it is important to follow the installation rules; special attention should be paid to precautions when working with 220 V voltage.
The call block is mounted on a solid base at a height of one and a half meters. Fasteners must be hidden to prevent unauthorized removal of equipment. Installation dimensions are reflected in the instructions. It is necessary to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and not deviate from accepted standards.
The switch is mounted in a low-current panel located on the lower floors of the building (usually the 1st or 2nd floor). In special cases, installation in the electrical control room of the entrance is allowed, but is not recommended. In this case, the normal operation of the device is prevented by pickup currents.
According to the instructions, the power supply is located near the switch; a separate grounded socket is provided for it, and it is not attached to the metal base of the steel door.
The electromagnetic lock is located at a height of 1.2 meters and is installed on the door frame. Its electrical wiring must be protected from external damage with special protection.
The handset for the Cyfral intercom is mounted in the apartment, at a height of about one and a half meters. It is recommended to connect the intercom using a TRP wire. The resistance of the wires connecting the handset and the switch should not be more than 30 Ohms.
How to open the Cyfral CCD 40 intercom
Combination locks of the CCD40 series support the assignment of an individual emergency code for each apartment. To independently open the entrance door without a code key, you need to press the button with the letter K. The letter F will turn on on the indicator board, indicating that the devices are ready to enter the apartment number. Then the room number is entered (by successive clicks on the number buttons) and switch K is pressed again. The display will display a message like “—“, prompting you to enter a password.
After entering a 4-digit number, the microprocessor unit compares the entered values with a table stored in memory. If the code matches and the password unlocking mode is active, the electromagnetic lock is unlocked. If an error is detected, Err will appear on the display and the speaker will sound a warning signal. There is no provision for temporarily blocking password entry after an error.
Connection of intercom devices.
The switch has a tens line and a ones line. Connection is made according to the ranks of subscriber numbers. Installation must be carried out strictly according to the attached diagrams; incorrect connection of elements leads to failure of the intercom. It is important to check the polarity of the intercoms, and only then connect the conductors: the plus is connected to the tens line, and the minus to the units line. The error leads to malfunctions of the intercom and incorrect addressing.
The electric lock and the call unit are connected after fuses are installed in the power circuit in the secondary winding of the transformer. The manufacturer provides for the installation of an emergency button to unlock the lock in case of emergency. A current of 12 A passes through its normally closed contacts at a voltage of 12 V.
When carrying out commissioning work, the manufacturer recommends using digital multimeters. Pointer instruments are not suitable for measuring communication circuits of this equipment.
Programming Cyfral intercom.
After connecting the Cyfral intercom, specialists begin programming the equipment. During setup, it is important that the access code is changed, since it is possible that unauthorized people, using standard combinations, will make changes that will affect the normal operation of the device. In order to enter the settings menu, you need to press the reset button, enter 0000, and press the enter button. After this, the indicator will display [Cod]. Next, enter the six digits of the access code and fix it with the enter key. If everything is correct, then F0 will appear on the indicator, otherwise the display will be cleared.
In programming mode, 2 lists and 9 functions are available. Switching between lists is carried out using the 9 key. To change parameters, you need to select the desired list, enter the number of the function being edited and press the enter key. If you press the reset key or 0+ENTER, the system will exit the settings menu. In the F0 list you can change the following parameters:
- Function 1 – changes the access code in the settings menu.
- Function 2 and 3 – reserve.
- Function 4 – prohibits calling the subscriber.
- Function 5 – allows subscriber servicing.

- Function 7 – with its help you enter the subscriber number and their total number.
- Function 8 - sets the duration of the Z signal.
- Function 9 - switches lists.

It should be taken into account that the communications connecting the handset and the switch should not have a resistance of more than 30 Ohms. According to the method of addressing there are:
- Coordinate matrix . In such devices, each subscriber corresponds to a separate wire - the cheapest, but they heavily load the network and often create various kinds of problems.
- Digital . Only two wires are used for connection. Among the disadvantages of such systems is the possibility of unintentional eavesdropping on conversations by other subscribers, problems with signal transmission, etc. They do not load the network so much, but the cost of such devices is higher (see paragraph).
- Wireless . The connection occurs via IP and telephone line or via a cable from the Internet or Wi-Fi. You can even control such devices using a tablet or smartphone.
Based on the method of identifying visitors, intercoms are divided into two types:
- Audio . Visitor identification is carried out only by voice, using an intercom.
- Video . Identification is carried out both through voice and through surveillance cameras installed outside and transmitting the visitor’s image to the subscriber’s monitor. Video intercoms can provide both one-way and two-way video communication.

Digital intercom system
This is the most expensive equipment. It is being created to service up to 255 apartments simultaneously.
General scheme
Connection of apartment devices is carried out with a two-core copper cable. It is installed in parallel chains along each riser inside the entrance. All tubes are connected in parallel, observing polarity.
To differentiate the apartment number, there is a jumper installation board inside the body of each handset. They are called “jumpers”, and the numbering allows for coding.
To enter the apartment number, just close the jumpers, the sum of the markings of which will give the desired number.
For example, our favorite apartment No. 13 is entered by closing jumpers No. 1, 4, 8.
All other contacts on this board must be open.
Principle of operation
When a subscriber dials the apartment number at the entrance to the entrance, a signal from the processor is sent to all connected devices. However, only the one where the number of installed jumpers matches will work.
When replacing the handset or installing a new video intercom, you should set the number of jumpers according to the apartment number , as before. If this is not done, the device will not work correctly.

Principle of operation
The cable from the switch is laid multi-core. Its wires are divided into two groups:

To connect the equipment of the apartment, its plus tubes are mounted on the tens contact, and the minus ones - on the contacts. For example, apartment No. 72 is connected with a minus to E7, and a plus to D2.
This is how equipment works for apartments with numbers up to 80. If there is a need to use more numbers, then the technology of shifting the settings parameters is used.
It provides the ability to reprogram numbers starting with 81. In this case, to replace the handset you need to know these settings.
For buildings with a small number of apartments, cheaper equipment is suitable: an intercom with a built-in switch. It provides a direct connection between the apartment and the call panel.
